Control Marshal is a helper app of Virtual Marshal system. The app is used for manual timing checkpoints that get integrated in to the Virtual Marshal results.
App is available only for Android smartphones and is free to download and install. Typically the registered marshals use this app and organisers assign duties to their selected marshals at various checkpoints that are defined as “Control Marshal” checkpoints in their event. Assigned duty is listed in the marshal’s app and he can use the app to navigate to his duty spot.
At duty location he is allowed to “check-in” only when he reaches the correct spot. Marshals location and check-in time is recorded by the app.
As the competitors arrive at the checkpoint the marshal presses time recording button and then assigns the recorded time to the competitor. After duty end the marshal check-out time is also recorded.
