Virtual Marshal now offers “INFORMATION POINTS” to be added by organisers.
Information checkpoints are not timing checkpoints but offer additional information to app users. It could be a “TULIP” diagram or a “ROAD SIGN” that is tagged to geo-location. When the users hits this location the diagram /picture shows up as a pop-up and input text is played as voice input. No timing is recorded.
This enables use of Virtual Marshal as road book app where critical junctions and inputs are needed.
Other scenarios where such information can be used is for cross-country drive convoys etc. where drivers are given local information about sights or tourist inputs without having to stick with convoy and using CB radio or similar.
