Competitors use VirtualMarshal app on their smartphones to participate in events. The app allows them to register for events, create teams and select category of participation etc. Once they have signed up for any event the app acts as a virtual marshal recording time stamps at the start and at all checkpoints visited by them during the duration of the event.
